BAXTERSMITH ON TARGET FOR £16M

Independent business caterer BaxterSmith has secured four new contracts in the last eight weeks with a total annual turnover of £2m. The company celebrates three years of business at the end of May and is now on track to attain an annual turnover of over £16 million.
It has just been awarded the Medical Research Council's contract at Regent's Park, London, to feed 270 employees. This contract, with a turnover of £300,000, starts in April. The former incumbent was Sodexho.
At the Novartis headquarters in Horsham, West Sussex, BaxterSmith will be feeding 1000 people a day from late March, This contract, with a turnover of £700,00, was also formerly with Sodexho.
BaxterSmith recently began a £400,00 contract to feed 200 people at General Electric Power, Bracknell, Berkshire. The contract was previously held by Compass Group's Baxter & Platts. It has also justd a £600,000 annual contract, previously with Avenance, to provide catering services for 800 employees at John Innes Research Centre in Norwich.
